Background
CO2 equivalent (CO2e) is a unit that takes into account not only carbon dioxide (CO2) but also other gases that are harmful to the climate, such as methane or nitrous oxide. Agricultural animal husbandry is responsible for about a quarter of all greenhouse gases and thus also for progressive global warming. With a vegan diet, we can therefore drastically reduce our CO2e footprint.
